I am recent graduate from Purdue University Fort Wayne with a major in Communication focusing in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. I minored in Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
I was the treasurer of Lambda Pi Eta which is the The National Communication Association’s honor society. In this leadership role I oversaw all fundraising and financial management for the organization.
I wrote for the IPFW Communication Department’s Newsletter “COM-ON”. I interviewed recipients of the Communication Department’s student awards and also other successful students within the department.
I attended the Notre Dame Student Peace Conference. The conference is a two day yearly event at The University of Notre Dame. The goal of the conference was to engage undergraduate and graduate students in a dialogue about peace building, global issues, and social injustice.
I was the Communication and Marketing Intern at Erin’s House for Grieving Children. I was able to showcase my skills in written and verbal communication, coordination, and social media. I researched, wrote, scheduled, and edited articles for their printed and e-newsletters. I copyedited and made improvements to their website. I also created e-mail marketing campaigns through Constant Contact along with numerous templates. I was an event-planning assistant for their fundraising event The Common Bond Breakfast with the keynote speaker Taya Kyle.
